Please reinforce the need to be silent (not talking with friends) at Quiet Reading time. I ask the children to have a book or magazine to read three times a day. They read first thing in the morning, right after recess and right after lunch for ten minutes each time or 30 minutes in total for the day. Now that we have been in school for a month, I shouldn't have to remind the students that they should be reading quietly. I had to use my "grumpy bear" voice more than I cared to today.
